The Campus

A fly-through tour of Dwa Chandra and our vision for the expansion of a 6-hectare sanctuary in Pejeng, Bali.

  • Dwa Chandra Private Resort

Dwa Chandra is a luxurious space for retreats and intimate gatherings. She is comprised of two villas and a yoga shala with private access to a river gorge with cave formations. Dwa Chandra is the economic engine for the campus right now, so our team is running her hard — in good months, we are at 95% occupancy hosting everything from 40th birthdays to goddess retreats. The vision is to be hosting Esther Perel, corporate transformations, and deep work of many kinds.

  • Bali Hai Shala & Mansion Glamping

Bali Hai is our home and HQ. She is a four-story open structure with tall coconut beams, five bedrooms, and a huge yoga shala on the upper floor. Climb to the top for 360 degree views of rice fields, jungle, our Balinese village, and the mountains. This is where to be for sunset. Our big girl is full of life, home to 11 cats, the biggest Koi fish you’ve ever seen, and a meter-long monitor lizard who occasionally walks through the house.

  • Pohon Jiwa HQ & Bed Breakfast

The once-vibrant Omah Apik, now Pohon Jiwa, is coming back to life! This westward-facing property is lush and and green, with an enormous banyan tree in the middle. There are three buildings with 11 bedrooms, a pool, and luscious sunsets. She used to be a hotbed for community, hosting travelers and film festivals with locals and international guests. The vision is for a vibrant daytime spot, with farm-to-table restaurant, spa, yoga shala, pond with island for cultural performances, rice field access, and plenty of lodging.

  • Walkable Paths in the Rice Fields

There are an amazing array of terraced rice fields spanning the distance between Dwa Chandra and Pohon Jiwa (formerly Omah Apik) and located above the 9th century temple carvings in the river. We’re working with these land owners to create a sustainable program of agro-tourism and organic food production for our farm-to-table restaurant. Eventually, you should be able to take a meditative walk through the fields on widened pathways, a rare pleasure just outside, busy crowded Ubud.

  • The River Gorge Amphitheater

  • Tatiapi Treehouses (coming soon)

Our neighbors in the Tatiapi banjar have kindly leased us their jungle backyards for the next 30 years. These eight family plots of jungle are located directly opposite Dwa Chandra, on the river. Our plan is to expand the Dwa Chandra retreat space with a network of bamboo treehouses and tea house/yoga platform in the trees, some connected by suspended bridges. Tatiapi is home to stone carvings dating from the Bedulu Kingdom, from the years 914-1356.

  • Dragon Gate Residences (coming soon)

    Dragon Gate Residences (coming soon)

Live two to eight weeks a year in community on the campus. The 14 residences will be designed collaboratively but the owners to achieve both privacy and great common areas for interaction. The revenue model will be to offer the full venue as a private resort with all services for four months of the year and as individual residences for the other eight months, resulting in a faster investment return.
